Students’ Preference of Speaking Activities in Online ESP Classes

This study aims to find out the students’ preferences for online classroom activities in English Specific Purpose (ESP) speaking skills and benefits that students get from their preferred activities. Eighty-five of Psychology Department ranging 17 22 years old, were proportionally selected involve filling questionnaire 10 interviewed. The findings show there several learning both synchronous or asynchronous mode including conducting a discussion by using video conference (zoom, google meet, etc.), task quizzes, making self-introduction video, through platforms (canvas/LMS, classroom, Edmodo, watching Youtube project about topic, digital storytelling. Yet, most favourable ofthe ESP is conferences such as Zoom Google Meet (Mean=3.3). Those beneficial improve vocabulary, creativity, well. In conclusion, t he use conferencing was considthe preferable skills, followed Youtube, other perceived could skills. addition, implication will be further discussed
